The Neighborhood
One block from the beach, steps from the harbor.
This stretch of Gulfport puts the Gulf of Mexico, the Mississippi Aquarium, the harbor, and downtown dining all within walking distance. It's coastal living at its most convenient — and one of the most walkable locations on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
What makes this area distinct
A few things you'll notice in the first week.
One block from the Gulf
The beach is literally one block east. Walk out the front door, cross the street, and you're on the sand. The Gulfport Harbor and the Mississippi Aquarium are a few minutes' walk north, making this one of the most water-adjacent locations in the city.
Walkable to downtown
Twenty-fifth Avenue, Gulfport's main dining and shopping corridor, is within easy walking distance. Coffee at Coast Roast, oysters at Half Shell, or dinner at Patio 44 — all reachable on foot. The morning coffee loop fits inside fifteen unhurried minutes.
Historic residential character
The surrounding blocks are a mix of historic cottages and early-twentieth-century homes, many with deep porches and mature canopy trees. Owen T. Palmer Park sits at 1400 2nd Street with a playground, basketball and tennis courts, and a walking track.

Walk it with us.
The neighborhood reads differently on foot than it does on a map. Set aside an afternoon and we'll do a slow loop together — beach, harbor, downtown, and back to the front porch.
